Arrow wraps

Post by Mark Rainbolt »

Looking for some Hot Pink wraps for my arrows, I assume the normal wraps are to small that I used on my vert. arrows. What size do I need for GT lazer 2's? If anyone has some they would sell or can direct me in the right direction I would appreciate it very much.Thank You for your time.

Onestringer is the way to go. I had some made with the Excalibur logo on them and they look cool. Also, got some 10" long solid color wraps and cut them in half with a razor box cutter. That'll give you double the amount of wraps and a 5" wrap is plenty long enough using 2" Blazers. I doubt I'll ever have to buy more wraps!!

They will look great hunting or at the range.

An easy way to measure your arrow for a wrap.

Take a piece of floss or fishing line or any string will do as long as it does not stretch.
Wind string around arrow shaft till it overlaps.
Mark the string anywhere it overlaps with a sharpie or other marker or pen.
Take the string and lay out on a ruler.
Measure between the two marks.

This is the width of your wrap.
This way you don't need to identify your arrow and look up on a chart.

Just found this site with reflective wraps.
Just shine a flashlight and locate your arrow.

EDIT
**Never mind, after further review, I too will be ordering from onestringer. Just can't beat the prices!**

An easier and exact way to measure your arrow for a wrap.
Use 1" masking tape. Wrap it around the arrow so it overlaps and make a straight lengthwise cut with a sharp razor blade. Remove and place the cut section that surounds the arrow over a ruler. This is now the exact wrap width you need.

Well I can't cut anything exactly by free-hand, with a razor blade no less.
I'll stick with the string for measuring.

I read on a supplier site that the wraps don't have to be "exact" anyway.
They can overlap without causing any problems.
