Post Season Pics

Post by ecoaster »

Here are a few pictures I got over the Christmas break. Season ended here the first week of December, so it was good to see some nice ones that made it through. The picture of the yote "head on" looks like he may have a bit of wolf in him. What do you think???

I probably won't still be in Cape Breton next fall, but it is still fun to keep the cameras out and do a little post season scouting. If for nothing else, but to find a shed or two. :D

Great photos!

Spoke with a wildlife biologist a couple of years ago and he said that recent research has shown that many coyotes are a hybrid of wolf x coyote. Some show more wolf traits and some more coyote.

Nice pics, thanks for showing them. Is there coyotes showing up in the cities, towns and rural areas close to house and people like they are here in Nova Scotia?

Coyotes are everywhere here in N.C. it seems we can't kill enough of them.

Nice pics at least you know another big one made it through another year.

Raymond,

I'm sitting next to a Cape Bretoner and she agrees, Cape Breton is NOT part of NS  .

The cameras are only 2-3km from Sydney but you never hear of any in town encounters.

PS Had some Wedgeport lobsters at Christmas. Awesome!!!

Great pics for sure! Thanks for sharing them with us. That coyote sure looks "wolfy" to me in the first picture. :)

My cameras are still out too but I haven't checked them in awhile. Might go and get them tomorrow if the weather holds.
