GPS

Post by spike »

I'm thinking of getting a new GPS. Currently have an old Magellan about 12 years old. I looked at the Garmin web site and saw the Etrex 10 & Etrex 20.

Does anyone have either of these and are you happy ? Also, I'm not entirely clear what the difference is between the two models.

Thanks.

I'm not up on this but I'm sure somebody will be. Navionics has an inexpensive app for cellphones that will give you GPS and updated maps for $8.00 a year. Not sure if it's comparable or not.

I have the Garmin GPS Map62 and it's a great unit! A few dollars more, but well worth it.

The differences between the two is that the 30 has a Barometric altimeter, a 3-axis compass and Wireless sharing capabilities.
(still trying to come up with something witty and interesting to add)
