They were only making cheap tackle boxes then, never got to that part of the factory, was making up secret tin boxes w/ circuit boards in them for gubbmint.
I worked behind locked doors. This is a good story. I had to make a die to hold these rectangular cans w/ open base, drill die and then put drill rod w/ big rubber bumper on it to pop one hole at a time in these cans. They got two together top and bottom om opposite sides of cans in rows depending on how many boards went it them. There were little angle riveted through the holes, last thing they did was wire them up and solder a base on it like old time TV tube.
Prob was they had to be hermetically sealed and often the rivets would leak and they would junk them.
I case up w/ a way to just dimple the cans so no hole or L thing was needed, no hole, no fail.
The boss turned it in as his idea, got $2500 and fired me.
