Can't believe I missed this one 1st time around. Here goers: drove tractor on farm pulling hay rack at 6 yrs, pulled baler the next yr, did generaql farm work til 7th grade when dad quit and went to a factory.

Mowed grass in summers, hired out on hay crews, while in HS, still mowed, cleaned a local factory on Sat am, dad's church on Sat pm, then went to work in a gas station pumping gas.

Grad HS in 65, went to work in factory 1st as matl handler, then tool and die appr. Got drafted late 65 or early 66, screw that, joined USN made E5 as a machinist and ran a 5 man shop just before I got out,
Broke nearly every law in San Diego to Bremerton Wa
before I got out of Navy 01/70. Sold pots and pans while in Navy and clerked in a gun store part time.

Got home, went to work in a few job shops as machinist, then as low class tool and die maker.

Quit that for UAW factory making pistons for wheel Horse products, then another UAW shop runnng aq lathe, then Big Casino, hired on at CAT-R-Pillar, lasted a year there, hated it.

Quit there late 70's to sell insurance, life and health, travelled 22 counties. quit that to adjust ins claims, did tht 2 yrs and liked it except I was only supposed to get 40 claims a month and I ran 80 every month.

Left that to be a union laborer on a nuke plant, then for State, ran 90# jackhammer on bridge decks. Then $8 an hour more for union carp 80 miles away at another nuke.

Then I did a mix of carpentry, trawl shrimp, gill net in La from 80-85. 85 we went to Pa where I carpenteered
to 88 back to Ill got in the union again and finally got a dinged rotator cuff in '99 that put that all to a halt. I paid off every thing I had loans on when I got my settlement from WorkComp.

Now, I wheel and deal and cash my two hard earned monthly checks. 3 counting the quarterly royalty ones for the rf mounts.

Seems a little long, bust trust me, it's the short version.

A woodsman in the summer as a teenager.

Commercial Fisherman for 10 years after graduating high school.

Disabled four 13 years because of back and legs problems.

Worked as an Assistant Store Manager for 4 1/2, I would love to be able to go back to my previous job but my memory was affected in August 2011, from a medical problem.

Disabled again for 2 years and a few months.

Now I need to take the time to strength my body, mind, and soul and try and find a job that requires no lifting. Cannot go to college because of my memory problem.
