Bowtech Styrkezone

Post by Farmer »

Just wondering if anyone here has shot one . I am being tempted by the dark forces of the compound crossbow  . Just looking to get another toy and have heard good things about the 350 model . Trigger is suppose to be topnotch good cables and strings , light weight and compact design .

Excalibur will always be my go to crossbow ,again just looking for a new toy .

If it has the black limbs it has been upgraded from the camo ones which were giving them troubles but the black ones are good from what I have read

You'll want to be Exorcised the first time a limb splinters!
Keep in mind you are buying from a company with a poor record of customer service and one that is actually anit-crossbow. Hell, you can't find a crossbow on Bowtech's website!

I'd worry more about who I bought it from than the bow itself. All warranty has to go thru dealer.

Bowtech is too arrogant for me. Warranty for original owner only, lot's of problems w/ the 350's bigger bro the 380. Excal has spoiled me/us, lol.

Here in the USA, guys have had great results w/ Wyvern, he seems to eat some Bowtech bs.

That is cause they have a different website for the crossbows. Styrkezone web site. Moon says the 350s are trouble free. I say they still have training wheels and thus take a press to keep them up and running.

Do not believe that the bows are trouble free. Ever wonder why BowTech has a different website for crossbows?
I seriously thought about buying a 350 but the fact that BowTech and their entourage hate crossbow and the fact that the bad reports are stiffled like a JFK incident changed my mind! There's nothing a 350 won't do that an Excalibur won't do. Oh there is, if you own a 350 you get to wonder what and when it's going to happen.
On the other hand one could always buy one as long as he/she had a back up bow (like a 100% reliable Excalibur) in the truck! :D

I had a conversation with Danny Miller when I went to Awshucks house to meet all of 'em before the annual hog hunt,We talked about many things crossbow, and I asked about several crossbows that are non-Excal. Danny knew the strong points and weaknesses of all of them. As for the Bowtech he said that they had a BAD problem with the limbs as some had let go without the crossbow even being cocked! He also said that he was sure that they were woking to get this all straightened out but that he would be leery of one at this point. Folks, Moon may be a "Crossbow Consultant", but Danny Miller is "The Guru".I am sure happy with my 'ol dependable.

There is a video on you tube right now of a guy with one of bowtech's vert bows that blew up in his hands. He claims that the life time warrantee is not going to be honored and he seems fairly upset. The comments on that vid have been disabled.

SZ350 is the pick! Wyvern is yer Dealer. He will even send another CB you can hunt with during hunting season if'en it goes down fer warranty repair. I wouldn't buy a SZ380 unless i had money needed to burn!
