priorities

Post by wabi »

Seems like I am faced with selecting priorities for the demands on my time almost every day.

This afternoon it was very pleasant here. Warm, but not hot. Breezy, but not windy. Sun shining brightly, but not intense. And to top it off I managed to get all my scheduled work done shortly after noon today. :D

The wife suggested the lawn was about ready to be mowed (again  ) so I agreed and quickly grabbed a fly rod and headed out the door before she could take that conversation any further.

Headed to the local lake and proceeded to catch several bluegills!

All catch & release, didn't keep count, but the action was steady & provided plenty of fun! :D
Now I feel really relaxed this evening, and I credit it all to my ability (or luck if you wish) in being able to make wise choices in setting those priorities.

Can't argue with that. Hopefully there were a few more before the day was done. :D

I don't fertilize mine so it's not long enough to cut.

Not an option when you have 2 dogs.

A buddy of mine was talking about going out and practicing his cussing.... err..... fly casting, on the trout down in Georgia a week or so ago. Don't know if he ever made it out yet or not.

I've already mowed my yard twice, and parts 3 times. By this weekend it'll need it again. It's been dry around here for several days, so I've been working on getting the garden tilled up. The soil is still a little damp, but it's drying out once I get it scratched up good. Been doing that all this week after work (when I haven't been mowing).

I think the last time I went fishing was 2006. :? :( Too many other things to do when the weather is warm.

Well 58, all depends on how big the yard is and how big the dogs are.

It's cold here lately and we just got some freezing rain and ice pellets this afternoon.

It may be, I don't know. He was just talking about going and hoping that the rivers would be down and clear enough by the time it opened. He never did say when it was.

my favorite fish the blugill to eat or catch lots of fun I bet on the flyrod. I work on something everyday and still get out on the river almost everyday if I have to go at night. I love night fishing no crowd and so quiet till the trains roll by that seem to bring me luck seems like the fish like to bite when a train comes for some reason.
