Did you ever look at the teeth in those hogs? very impressive I would say. Best to keep your fingers out.
At roughly what age are those hogs in the photos? they look like juviniles to me.

I think instead of heavy gloves I would rig me up a stick with a loop string or cable on it . Never know what u might pull out of a hole that deep !

Hey nice shooting. My Beagle/Jack Russel got one in our yard last summer on his own.

I ate one last year at a barbque,an old tough male. It tasted good, but I would have been better off pressure cooking him and then tossing him on the bar b. I tell you, sneakin up on these hogs is almost as hard as stalking deer. Did I tell you about the biscut cactus I found with my butt? Think I'll save that story for another day. Ahhh, memories. :D
Hank
That looks like a good hunting experience,    . But that one about the biscuit cactus sounds pretty interesting also,       .
Thank you,
Raymond

You did very well . The ones on my farm get smart real fast when it comes to hunters . They see you at almost any distance and they are off for their hole . Shooting with the bow would be a real challenge . Not sure if I would have been brave enough to reach in after one though ---- your episode would have made a good You tube video !!

Nice pics Hank and good shootin too. Glad you didn't loose any digits.

I haven't been ground hog hunting in years. I used to go up to Mount Forest (Ontario) all the time. It was like "Whack a Mole" with a 22-250.
