Congratulations on a rare harvest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think they are actually a genetic throwback to the prehistoric days when the dreaded Sabertooth Marmots roamed the landscape.
About as rare as bigfoot!
I managed to get one with my longbow years ago, and it is the only critter I have ever spent the money to have mounted.

Man they look so funny. You would think it wouldn't be much longer before he starved. Its surprising he could still eat like that.

Re: Overbite
That's definitely a weird one. Rodent teeth continuously grow, and the critters have to chew/gnaw on stuff to keep the teeth worn down. Guess this one got lazy about chewing on hard stuff to keep them worn down.

That's some funky lookin' nibblers there. I'm surprised this one still looked pretty well fed. I would expect it to look in poor health from not being able to eat properly. I guess that's not an issue any more thanks to your .22 magnum.
