E H D deer problem

I was watching a hunting show and there is a deer killing problem , I think its called EHD . This disease kills the deer and leaves it foaming ( white ) at the mouth . This destroyer of deer is found in Iowa or Idaho ? Does anyone have any information on this ailment ? The show only had a brief segment on the problem, that is why my facts are few and questionable . Ray
