Flemish Dyna Flight String adjustment

Post by bamma »

I have a new Equinox that I put the Flemish Dyna String on. Shot it let it sit overnight and re adjusted it after the streched. Been shooting it getting ready for bow season and the string has streched again. It is between the 2 marks but resting against the S5 pads, is this ok? Or should I adjust it again off the pads?
Thanks!

There's a lot of creep in that type string, but no give in the event of a dryfire.............I used to leave them cocked overnight a time or two to speed the process up.

Good information to know! I just ordered a FFF string and you saved me some time. Thanks!

I didnt do this when I got my first FFF string and I adjusted the brace height almost every day for close to a month. When I got my first Boo string I put it on and in about three days had to take a twist or so up in it and thats it! What a time and labor saver. The FFF wil slow down on the creepin' though and are great strings for speed. You may become very good at adjustin' strings 'for it settles down though. With a stringing aid its really no big deal. Have fun.

I had to just about quit shooting during hte summer, because the string would creep so bad. i'd set it at the top brace height, and it would creep halfway down in under 10 shots. of course it was 95+ degrees.

I keep my strings a good distance off the bumpers.
By this I mean by up to 1/8 inch.
As was mentioned, I maintain a consistent distance to keep the POI the same.

I did add 2 twist today and I'm leaving it cocked overnight. I'll check it tommorow and re-adjust if needed. I need to do some more shooting before Sat for opening day (Georgia)!
Thanks for all the help.

To save your self some time think about building your self a serving frame you can also streach your new bow strings as well as serve them
On Boo`s web page there is a drawling of a very easy to build serving rack
here is a link look at the botton of Dons page
