New to Excalibur

Post by XcalChuck »

Well I finally came across and purchased an Excalibur, a used Exomag 200 Xbow. simple and reliable. Have been searching for a new crossbow for about a year. I have always had Horton's, until recently, I purchased another brand. Broke the limbs of this other brand for a second time and now waiting for it to come from the repair department with it's 3rd set of new limbs. Won't be keeping this long as it will be up on the online classifieds for sale and I'm not keeping it as a back-up. Bought my new for me but used Exomag a short while back. Cleaned it up and it looks great; like nearly new. functions well, sites in well and all components keep tight. I'm very happy with it. It is quite accurate compared to the compound Xbow I will be selling. I'm now convinced about Excalibur. I'm a believer. When doing my research and reviews of the various xbow products; there was very little mention of poor reviews about excals. I'm glad I crossed over.

Congrats and Welcome to the Forum ! You bought a fine crossbow. I'm sure you will be happy with it as long as you don't get caught up with the need for speed close to 400 fps like a lot of people are right now. I read about the hype about all the speed then usually someone is posting problems with their compound crossbows for some reason or another.

Welcome to the forum and Congrats on the Ecalibur. I have only had my Vixen II a few weeks. You will have to let us know the first time you dry fire. I have done it only once thus far and hope to never do it again.
