Jammed bow!

Post by BradLong »

I just bough a crossbow, i went to cock my crossbow but improperly did it and my cock aid's cord got caught instead of the cable. Now i am unable to cock the cord back at all even though i got the cord out. How can i fix this issue now that i learned how to properly use the cocking aid.

The bow looks the same the only thing is when you pull back the rope to cock it, the pins below the sight wont allow the rope to lock in

You don't state the make of the bow. Guessing to the far side I would ask if you have a compound xbow with an anti dryfire feature?

is the saftey off. or you might have to put piece of string in behind claws and act like shooting it.

Safety is off, so i would just put a piece of string behind it then dry fire it? The bow is a parker bushwacker

The bow probably has an anti-dryfire. Thread some string behind the claws and load an arrow on. Hold back on the trigger and pull the string forward, sliding the arrow off and unlocking everything.

Slide it in from the front. It will be laying on top of the string down at the end.
