Varizone speed ring?

Post by Deerstalker »

I set the scope to be on at 20 yards and IF I am 2" high at 30 yards I turn the speed ring DOWN on the Varizone scope. Is this right??? Thanks and I know this subject has been beat to death already but I would like to know. :?:

If you are high, turn it up. your bow is shooting faster than your current setting. Don't wory about what FPS the ring says. My ring is set at about 355 FPS on my Equinox but I know it's not really shooting that fast with the factory string.

I ran into the same problem. Then I cranked my speed dial almost to 350. (I know that I'm not shooting 350fps with a factory Excel string).

Check out the FAQ section here on Excalibur --question/answer #10 (see link below). It fixed my problem.

For sure don't pay any attention to the speeds written on the ring. Just adjust it till you're zeroed correctly. When I had a Verizone, my setting on the ring also ran a good bit higher than what my chrono read.
