Common sense just isn't common anymore.

I screwed up my scope a couple of years ago. I could have probably returned it and gotten a replacement, but I knew that I screwed it up and there was no way that I would expect a company to warrant something that I did. I bit the bullet and bought another scope.

That guy is just a freaking moron to expect Excal to warrant broadheads. I guess, following his logic, I should get Swhacker to warrant the broadhead I shot the first doe with this year. Between hitting the big leg bone in the off shoulder, her running off with my arrow, and then falling on it, one of the blades got bent.

I had an issue the first year I owned and hunted with my crossbow. I contacted Excal and admitted that it could have been my fault, I wasn't sure.

This was in the days when Bill and Kathy handled customer service. Bill commented that in return for my honesty he would correct the problem no questions asked. I was hooked on Excal ever since...

Always felt honesty was the best policy...guess this is lost on our friend there...

i see several problems here..

1. a solid stainless steel innerloc Boltcutter brodhead disintegrating upon being fired into the dirt... ok well he claims he missed at 54 yards... so lets just for hte sake of arguments, say the heads hit the dirt at 54 yards. an ibex claims 305 fps... with a FFF string and 350 grain arrow... so lets say stock dacron endless loop string, (290 fps with 350 grain arrow) and 430 grain actual arrow weight (roughly) so lets just guess.... or speculate, 275 fps at bow. at 54 yards... that would put that arrow... flying MAYBE 250 fps (probably less) at point of impact... i just don't see it "Disintegrating"

2. AT a solid 300 fps (at bow) which i doubt this ibex was shooting... the arrow drops right at 15 inches, between 40 yards, and 50 yards... 4 yards at that distance, is a LOT, probably close to 6-10 inches... and has to be practiced... you can't just hold a 50 yard pin, on a slower bow, shooting a heavy 150 grain head, on a 54 yard deer and expect dead deer... even with my vortex shooting over 300 fps, i don't practice shots over 40 yards, because there are too many variables. yes its fun to sling them at 40,50,60 yards at targets, but in a hunting scenario... with nerves, etc, i personally put a 40 yard limit on myself.

there may be more to this story, but.... this is how i see it.

I've shot through 3/4 " plywood, 1/8" aluminum and " dirted" a few of my bolt cutters for testing and curiosity sake. Short of some dull blade's they are still 100%. Some new blade's and a point tune up and they are good to go. Don't know what you would have to shoot or at to get them to disintegrate ? They handle my exo 200 no problem.
