Wax your shaft?

Post by Woodspike »

heh, couldn't resist.
Noticing some drag marks on the back end of my bolts from the rail (or spring-arm perhaps?)... I've got a few different polishes and waxes that I use to slick up the clearcoat on my bike, and was curious if these would help on the bolts? Apparently rail lube isn't recommended...? so I'm looking for some sort of alternative to keep the friction down.
Thoughts?

You don't want to put anything that smells on your hunting equipment if you plan to hunt anything with a good nose.

i know my practice arrow has a good scuff going on it... its been shot hundreds of times.... shows no signs of being weakened. i hope it doesn't blow up in my face one day however. i do give it a flex every shot, just to make sure because i know its seen its fare number of 200 lb shots... love Easton firebolts... great quality stuff!
