Shot gun is here and the rut is on full swing

Went out yesterday to scout/ hunt and we were pulling down to were we hunt and had 4 deer run across the farmers lane way and we saw a big buck with his head down hopefully i can get him with the gun any one out with the gun this week post some pics

Not quite in rut yet here in oxford. Lots of chasing going on, but should be heating up by the first of next week! Shot a 6 pt last night story to follow in a bit.

Crossbow hunting is a lot of fun and it is certainly challenging. I have to say though that I am looking forward to shotgun coming in on the 24th. Nothing like the simplicity of gun hunting. Aim, squeeze the trigger, and down goes the deer.
