Congratulations Frisky!
A tractor sure can be handy with hauling deer. When I hunt on my parents farm they have a Ford 1900 with a front loader. That front loader is the easiest way ever to get a deer hung up for cleaning

Great looking deer frisky!
& Thanks for posting the picture of the classic allis-chalmers! That one does look like its been riden hard and put away dirty!! Still,.... It does say something about how things were made back then. I love pics of vintage machinery.

Great pics and that's a sweet recovery vehicle too.
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

I like the tractor , would have been even better with the old Lincoln involved as well.

Great Story Frisky, my wife and I enjoyed reading it. Great job utilizing the equipment on hand to bring home your trophy. All the best on the next one.

Went out to find my arrow and I did. Looks like I will use it next year. The deer innards are ALL gone,I thought some thing would be left. The tractor and trailer.
All the gut pile is edible to some varmint, most likely coyotes.
Best chance to kill a yote is to hunt over the pile.
If you were to throw the hide out there, it would disappear as well.
Nothing is left to waste.
BTW, congrats on a nice deer.
Just one thing I'd like to ask..........what is that metal tag on the rack for??
Thanks.

When we register our deer the DNR tags it with the metal tag. They gain some info about hunting that way. Would be unlawful to cut and wrap without it.

Congratulations on your deer .
The tractor could be steam driven but it sure beats dragging .

I was thinking along those lines for the metal tag.
Our tags are peel and stick type and don't require a string.
At one time we used a piece of wire through the nose and the tag was attached to the wire.
We no longer have check stations for deer in southern Ontario.
We have mnr crews checking hunt camps and hunters on major roads.
Also have a voluntary survey and head donation for testing of CWD.
Tag must be with the carcass until it is processed.
I usually throw the tag in with the meat in the freezer.
