Excellent Footage!
And a Beauty Saskatchewan Whitetail! Congrats!
Used to live in Saskatchewan years ago, met my Missuz there, and seriously Enjoyed the hunting out that way! That province has a LOT to offer, especially so with their Whitetails! Still think of making my way back some year...
Thanks for Sharing!
Cheers,
Nog

Hey pphoenix, tell us about the camera set-up in the hunting segments. Did you have someone else operating the camera while you made the shot?

I did all the video myself. I use a Full HD JVC Everio camera, which I mount on a tripod in my blind and on a homemade arm on the stand. It records onto a small 32GB memory card, which I then transfer to the computer, I ended up with hours and hours of video over the season.
On the blind the one deer I missed I was shooting my compound, which makes it tricky to make any adjustments before the shot. And I actually bumped the camera on the draw.
With the x-bow on the deer I shot, what I did was I had the x-bow sitting on a shooting stick, so you can keep your trigger hand ready at all times, and if need be use your other hand to move the camera and zoom.
Has everyone can see all the action happened mostly from the ground, that location did not have many trees for a stand.
In Saskatchewan were not allowed x-bow during the archery season, so september is compound and then come october out comes the x-bow.
Oh and all the editing was simply done with imovie which came with my mac book pro.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed it.
