Sending back limbs under warranty

Post by fishn711 »

Hi Folks,
I have been here quite awhile, but I forgot to ask a question today to Excal Cust Service, and really want to get these limbs packed up tonight. It's a little embarassing, but....

I had a splinter on a limb during the season, broke it off, sanded it down, etc, and finished the season. Customer Service was incredibly helpful and fast, and told me to send them in. The silly question is, do you send in the limb/riser assembly, or literally just the 2 limbs? Those 2 bolts on the front are a bi*&%. Thanks.

I am going to swap my limbs soon cause of a limb splinter also. Excal in Canada told me before that when I was ready to call and get a RA number and then send the limbs back. I am going to call Danny Miller in USA and hopefully he will handle the swap for me. It will be much easier than going through customs and the shipping should be much less. And as a bonus I will get to meet Danny (even though just on the phone) and will order some supplies from him at the same time. I will pull the limbs and send them only for the swap.

Easier if you get the limbs off of the riser . If not send the riser assembly in for the warranty .
Danny is prompt . :)

Thanks. Excalibur sent me a RA# and instructions to send them to Woody's, which is just in Pennsylvania. Got the limbs off without any hassle, so I'm good to go. Next time I'll just call Dan.

I had the exact same problem, just sent mine out to Kitchener ON (after a quick phone call and RA#) and I believe they got them yesterday. I hope to get them this week or next week. I just took the limbs off. Super easy to deal with, they stand behind their product. A little fun fact my friend bought a Barnett and the trigger assembly jammed. Sent it to the facilities and he lost almost 3/4 of his season and after myself and him bitching at the store he bought it from they ended up giving him a different model and I think the store had to deal with all the BS to follow. I will only by Excalibur due to their warranty, no other manufacturer has nothing close to these guys.
