the stock on the matrix is shorter. If you want longer than the equinox you need to go with the exomax.

I may have to try and sell my Equinox or trade it for an Exomax. I should have purchased an Exomax in the beginning. Oh well that is why, "Hind Sight is 20/20", .

These are some good looking heavy duty rings. Just got back from the store-was looking for something like these, but none to be found. Will have to order some as well. I agree, the ones that come with the package are not very robust. Hate having a ford pinto part on my bentley crossbow :D

Word has it that the noise/vibration and cocking effort has improved, but the trigger creep is similiar to all the other thumbholed stocks.

Swamp Donkey wrote:My guess would be the difference in stored energy @ the string/hooks cause the trigger creep...
Actually the creep is due to the angle of the trigger and sear travel. All thumbhole stocks, regardless of rail length, are the same, albeit some are better than others. Yes they can be improved, but I've found, from my experience, the triggers on the trad stocks are better coming out of the box.

What are we talking about here, CB? A gun or a crossbow?

Seems to me you had all the answers before you asked the question?
I'm strictly speaking about thumbhole stocked Excaliburs, from my informed personal experience.

And no, I don't believe I have all the answers, even though I've owned Excaliburs since when they were first introduced in the 80's. I loved them then, and still love them now.
