Improved Angel Majesty string test

Post by Boo »

I have been asked by Angel Majesty to test their new improved string material. This new string material is 20% stronger and has 1% less elasticity (it is now 3.6% from 4.6%).
Testers will;
Need to have free access to an indoor chronograph
Have a factory string to compare string speeds
Be able to post on a timely basis
Post on how long it took to stop creeping
Post on noise and shock (have to have good hearing)
Be an established and regularly contributing member on this forum
Be able to post pictures of the chronograph readings

Reports from other tests on the older material have yielded about a 10 ft/sec increase in speeds with some reporting even more.
Preference will be given to lower poundage bows and arrows that are not heavy.

If you are interested, qualify and able please send an email to [email protected]
BTW, all chronographs are much more reliable when used indoors with incandescent light or even better a light kit. You of course get to keep the string and it will require about 50 shots as well as a minimum of 3 posts.

Yep! So far from what I can gather it appears that the lower poundage bows benefit the most.

Will you use this thread for the comparison posts or will you be starting another?

I have a gymnasium that I use to shoot in but I do not have an indoor chronograph. The chronograph is an item on my want list. Is there a difference between chronographs, are there indoor and outdoor chronographs? Where can a person on a limited budget buy one for the best bang for your buck?
Thanks,
Raymond

No chrono.
No place to shoot indoors.
And I am almost deaf. :x

Guess I will be watching from the sidelines for this test.

.

So instead of a chronograph can I count ... "One thousand one, One thousand two?"

Someday, Somehow Boo I will have the ability to participate in one of your tests.

Thanks for making this test possible for the forum members and I look forward to reading and learning from the results.
