Then I show up for a party and they stick me in the back forty away from everyone, I wade around long grass up to my arm pits all weekend and trying to peek through a bush and long grass to see where everyone is. Then leaving they threaten me to shoot my trailer door with darn potato cannons. So I started climbing up that big mountain all over again. And those are my friends!

Thankfully this forum is not a part of the "feel good" society that has grown up around us and infected us like an unwanted virus, mandating equal treatment and opportunity for all.

It is only natural that a bond between members develops over time and that some prove themselves and others do not.

It is just a fact of life. ...Wake up and smell the flowers.

Welcome to the real world

Tinker ... the above quote of yours was nicely worded.

People have visited our church or our gun club and say how much they want to be "a part of the place". However, they then choose to not participate or spend the time necessary to "become part of the place". Or, their version of "becoming part of the place" is to completely change the place.

Thank You to those who have shown me grace when I was naive or ignorant. I appreciate the Personal Messages sent that helped me learn from my errors.

Good thread. It helps to ponder and review ones self/actions and see if the initial post shines a light on things that need to be worked on in my life.

I shall continue to ponder as I read other posts. :)

All the best.

Boo wrote:I feel it is necessary to bring to light that there are cliques.... Yep! It's all you pank dudes! There's no need for it. It makes me feel out of place. And while we are at it you Village People are no better either! And a general thrashing might as well include those with a "different" sense of humor like Bigcal, Oneshotscott and Wheelie.

Somehow, someway, someday I got to make it to BooFest.

Something tells me all these cryptic posts are hiding some really good stories.

I'm happy you all have those shared experiences and memories.
