Matrix string

Post by mchurch »

It is difficult at this point to find the Excalibur Matrix replacement strings. Can I use the same string changer that I used for my Equinox?

The cocking aid that came with my Matrix is shorter than the one for my Equinox, naturally. You can always tie a knot in one end to shorten it. Should have gotten one with the Matrix, I think. If you tie a knot in it, you will probably find it easier to have one for each bow. Might not get the knot out once shortened.

The stringing aid is considerably shorter for the Matrix than for the Nox. Again, just shorten it up. It can always be adjusted back out for the Nox - since you don't have to tie a knot in it.
Just woke up --- hope this makes sense and helps.

Hey Folks,
What is the difference in making a string for the Matrix crossbows compared to the other Excalibur crossbows? Do you need to use different string material and serving material? How many strands of string material do you need to use while making a string for the Matrix crossbow? Do they use endless loop strings or just flemish strings on the Matrix crossbows?
Thanks,
Raymond

You can get replacement strings from Danny Miller 740 740 483 2312
You would think that Excalibur would have something different for the Matrix. I know they are coming with an improved version of what exists now. When you talk to Danny you can talk about stringing aids.

BTW, stringing aids are meant to be adjusted. There are none that are too short. The trouble with using a knot is that they are pretty hard to undo once it's used a bit. If you have a Martrix and a conventional Excalibur then I would use 2 stringing aids.
