This idea was very economical and easy to build. Requires an extra Excal quiver and two of the keyed mounting blocks. Makes it easy to grab whichever quiver you want and promptly 'boogie' out the door all set to slay the dragon.

The block is either going to have a hand-engraved brass plate or a plastic one made at the trophy store ..depends on the mood I'm in

I like it!

As soon as I destroy my trigger, I'll mount mine on the wall too.

True story . . .My Grandfather pulled up to the cop at a road check . . .the cop asked, "Is that rifle loaded" and my Grandfather said, "Aint much of a rifle if it isn't loaded".

I would think the same goes for a crossbow without a trigger.

Base is 3/4" hardwood plywood (birch maybe?) and the hanger block was made from a piece of 4x4 block (fur-larch?). Was not intending to have it so tiger-striped appearing but after staining both with Minnwax Red-Oak that's the way it all came out so I went with it. The 1-1/2x4" brass or black plastic plate I am going to mount on the tiger-stripe block should help to make it all blend together better. It started as a simple project to hang the thing up but as always I get carried away

_______________________________________________________________________

If duplication is on anyone's mind, the circles and arcs are done with a 3" compass setting. Making the verticals width 6 inches. The cross bar is about 1-1/4" over the length of the quiver mount block's length in width, and located on the vertical at the point where you would like the quiver to be located.
Good Luck!

Nice design Tink. I had planned something similar but lacking the aecond quiver and have about 3000 board feet of red oak to use up. Think I should have enough to make one

Heck, real red oak wood ...that would be a great material to use. Why don't you produce them for the folks here?

Don't confuse talent with sometimes inane curiosity :?

Although I have not posed the question to my woodworking neighbor, he possibly could be interested in making a few... dunno :?:
PM me if you want one made up and I'll invite him over for a snort. The quiver and blocks probably (?) would run $40-50.00; rest is woodworking.
