New Trigger on my Y-25

What is a Jesus ball

It's the most important part of the trigger, and also the part some folks lose when they try to do their own trigger work.

To be more specific, it's a tiny ball bearing that fits on the rebound spring.

Lou, it definately is a detent bal for the saftey.

i never lost the ball but i did lose that little spring and had to get Miller to fix it for me..i didnt call it a Jesus spring but i did have some repenting to do after i spouted off a very long word for how stupid i felt ..i havent been cussed out in a long time so i guess it was best i did it ..

I'm not sure on this, but I think Miller coined the phrase 'jesus ball'.

Triggers are starting to ship. I sent my cheque tuesday for two Triggertech's units. They come in 2.5 pound Hunting and 1.5 pound target model. The target is $30 more.

The price has been set on the new triggers then?

I believe they will be 150 for hunting trigger 180 for target trigger.

The hunting trigger is 2.5 pound and the target is 1.5 pound pull.

I know nothing about the workings of the internals of the triggers, so please do not jump on me if these questions seem odd. Is there any creep in these triggers and are the claws polished and will they be easy on serving with Equinox crossbows?

Those are all the reasons for the new trigger...............to solve all listed above.

got the Leupold tied up on the 380 and had a problem sighting it in, which I attribute to the temps here.:

The 'end result' was not temp related. I was turning the 'speed ring' the wrong way.

What is a Jesus ball

Jesus! Where did that go?
It is the very small safety detent ball.

Well, you got me on that one... In Viet Nam, troops referred to the 'thingie' that kept the rotor on the Hueys as a "Jesus Nut". (ie: ..major safety concern )
.. Sooo I just assumed it was the safety detent ball 'cause it kept the safety from allowing an A-D. [half right -I guess!]

It is a fact that the little F-n ball does escape frequently

Mine arrived today. It looks very precision built and toleranced tight. The string retention claws do look like they have been smoothed but I'm not for certain about that. Hopefully Boo knows.

I plan to install it tomorrow night and be shooting sat morn and through the weekend. Feedback coming next week.

Have a Vortex ,interested in a new trigger, does anyone know if the bow can be sent in to have one installed as I have to many thumbs for something like this i think...
