Raymond wrote:Are those as big as the squirrels, or should I say dog sized squirrels that I saw in our nation's capital city of Ottawa, quite a few years ago? I got some pictures of these black critters that would come right up to the camera lens. That is no lie. I couldn't believe it, they were huge critters. One of their legs are bigger than the whole squirrel that we have here in Nova Scotia. You shoot our critters in Nova Scotia with a 12 or 20 gauge and all you will be finding is bits of hair and bone, . For some reason there is not many squirrels or chipmunks at all. There used to be loads of those critters but not anymore. I have never tried to eat squirrel, I am up to trying mostly anything once. I must find out if I can start shooting me some of them and try and eat them.
Thanks,
Raymond

Best call for squirrels is to sit on your hunting perch and then start calling

Our squirrel season doesn't start until general gun for deer and everything, first sat in November. Runs a few weeks longer than deer though.

That's awesome! Sounds like your stackin' them up quite nicely. The 10-22s are sweet little rifles but the stock triggers can be a bit stiff to say the least. Still a lot of fun to shoot though. :)
