I really like your idea, and it's got me thinking of doing one of my own with a faux rock, the
Kind you can buy for hiding speakers around a outdoor patio.

Unfortunately with these expensive cameras strapped to the sides of trees in plain sight it makes it way too tempting for a thief to resist.

great idea you better get a patent on it,you think the camera companies would have come up with that, but then if they did there would less getting stolen & less people buying replacements for the ones stolen & that would cut down on they're sales. Great job!

Wow you have got one interesting thing here. I must say that You can also use hidden camera at the bushes like discovery guys do but chose a little height, for that you going to need high quality video-audio definition hidden camera. I use hidden camera at my farm house to keep an eye on castles.

Very nice job, I made a similar one a couple years ago but ended up cutting the front open and putting in a Plexiglas top because my camera was having problems gathering light.

I used tiny screws to hold the bark on because I was scared to have a glue smell like happened to you, BUT, after a couple years some of my bark fell off with just the little screws holding it, I'm guessing it was due to the bark still drying and shrinking.

I am glad this thread came back up because I am getting ready to set a few cameras out soon and this idea is great.
