Daughter 1st Shot

Well daughter came over and wanted to try a shot with the Vixen. She hunts regularly with a Compound but not so much with a rifle or ever with a Crossbow. So we went out back and went over the basics covering the scope sighting and 20 yards to the target etc. After a few shot by myself to show it was on target she was ready. After sharing she was confident she was on sight I heard the "Thwack" and watched my GT IV with 150 grain field point speed past the top left of the bag over the fence 50 yards away and disappear into the bush out back. 20 mins later around 60 yards this is what we found. And her look says it all...

Been there done that when my nieces shot. One put an arrow through 2 chicken, which left the arrow in pieces; another niece shot one into the woods WAY above target and lost forever.

My 12 year old granddaughter shot the bull on the right while papa shot the one at the top. 30 yards from a table rest. She was really thrilled that she beat papa!

I called her at lunch and asked her what she was going to use to marinate that Oak with. Her Response: "Very Funny Dad"
