A few yrs back I asked the same question
Everyone recommended being new with crossbow.
Use stock string for a while go thru hunting season.
Get used to the crossbow before switching you can save your self some grief
May my aim be true and my arrow fly straight

I'm a new Axiom owner as well. I plan on shooting the original this year. I think the only thing I will add will be string dampeners. So far, I am loving mine. I will be starting my broadhead quest very soon. Good luck with yours.

:D welcome, with the stock string you should be around the 300-305 range. stick with the string you have now and up grade next year. the stock strings are alot more forgiving on a dryfire. good luck to you.

My recommendation is to stick with the stock string . For now but get a back up string in case . :)
Broadhead touchs are very unforgiving .
Also before the season starts take that back up string and put it on the bow to prestretch over night .
Congrats on the bow and welcome to the forum . :)
