Lumenok Bolts

Post by smitty likes hunting »

I was thinking of getting some bolts with with the lumenoks in them , but I was wondering if they are as accurate as the bolts with just the aluminum nocks . I really don' t want to give up how accurate my bow is now .

I installed Lumenoks in my Firebolts and they are every bit as accurate as when they had the original nocks. :)

I switched mine from my Firebolts to my new Executioners and they shoot fine, except they shoot half inch lower compared to my arrows without the Lumenoks. I do not know about their longevity because I do not practice with them, I keep three just for hunting.

X-2.
I am also holding mine back for hunting season. They shoot a little lower than field points for me. I will sight them in just before the season starts with broadheads attached. It will probably take one or two clicks up from what I have seen with field points.

Lumenocks are very tough! Obviously they are not Aluminum, but very strong. If all your going to do is target shoot then use Aluminum. But if you want Lumenocks, set up a set of (3) for hunting, weigh them, then make a match set of (3) weighing the same with Aluminum for targets. Just keep the Aluminum held in very lightly, and if ever you want to switch out for a Lumenock your good to go.
But Lumenocks are Very Tuff!!! Do not Robinhood them!!! Same results as Aluminum.

Mine have held up well also but like Bullzeye I do not practice with mine. I keep them just for hunting.

Has anybody had trouble shutting the Lumenok off after it has been shot. The directions say's to hold Lumenok between index finger and thumb and rock thumb away from you and then back toward you. I tried this with no luck so I called the shop and they said to pull back straight on Lumenok to turn off. Lights still on. Anybody had same problem?

Thanks,Bobber

When I practiced with mine before hunting season, I soon learned to use my Danny Miller Arrow Pullers to turn the Lumenok off. Piece of cake with the arrow puller.

I simply shaved a tad of plastic off each of mine. I can now turn them off with finger pressure only. Took about 5 minutes to do 3.
