That is just what I need to build to serve strings on or with. If ya don't mind what are your materials especially the bent or bowed metal pieces that the hooks fit into.Cossack wrote:Here's mine

I had an idea for an inexpensive serving jig. I used some heavy duty shelving brackets, one 48" - 2x4, 1/4x20 hardware(two - 4" hooks, four - 2 1/2" bolts, eight - nuts and eight - washers), all for under $14.00. I wanted a jig I could work over and not be obstructed. It is small and portable or can be bolted/clamped to a bench.

Mine is two times bigger than it needs to be, but I just used what was laying around my shop at work and was to lazy to cut it down to a smaller size. The ends are metal.

this is my stretcher/serving jig. adjustable so i can do my trad strings as well.
