Firebolts with lumenoks question

Post by Chefrific »

Has anyone tried the factory made firebolts with lumenoks already installed?
Any issues with them?
Do they change your point of impact any?

I shot them last year out of my Equinox, and they did fine. Took 9 deer with them. The only issue i had was turning them off. I ended using a small, smooth plier to back the nocks out to turn them off. I just never got the hang of turning them off with my fingers. I really liked hunting with them.

They had a slightly lower POI compared to my Firebolts without Lumenocks, so only a slight scope adjustment was needed.

I have been shooting them since mid season last year after not finding my deer until the next morning. I found them to be more consistent from shot to shot, maybe they are balanced better. I always remove my arrow from the target or aim at different point, at 20 yards it will go into same hole every time.

I had picked up a Lumenok and found it was very loose in my Firebolt arrow. I think it was a .290 to fit Beaman carbon arrows. Someone on here had a tip about dental floss to tighten it up. Last night I was finally able to give that a try and it worked like a champ. I used 2 pieces of unwaxed floss in an x pattern and the nock worked great, both shooting and moving it out a little to turn it off. Just wanted to share a great tip, and thanks. :D

It's the forked tool that looks like a key.
