arrow question

Post by rccub23 »

I just purchased a aluminum rail ibex. what
would be a good arrow for this bow. I have
considered the BEE, GTII, and the Excalibur
firebolts. bow will be used mostly for hunting
whitetail deer, and just having fun shooting it.
thanks for any help.

I have several arrows I shoot in mine. Excaliber, Gt11, Gt111. ten point ranging from 400gr to 450gr. It is not particular it just spits them out on target every time.

Most guys use the ones they think are really cool. Some use the expensive ones. I personally like the cheapest ones.

All the carbon arrows do a very good job. I personally use the Thunderbolts/Powerbolts. I've tried a few others, but, none have been as strong as the Powerbolts. The Firebolts are basically the same thing.

The GTIIs, I wasn't impressed with their strength.

Anyway, about all crossbow arrows will do just fine.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
Perception trumps intention.

I use 2213 - 2215 - 2216 in my Phoenix.
Never had to add weight (brass inserts) or do any custom work to make them group well. This year I'm hunting with 2216s and 100gr Wac'EM Exit broadheads and can group them right with field points.
