Not saying your idea wouldn't work but Danny Millers heavy duty stringing aid is $20 if you buy it from him... There I just saved you $15-20!

I use lawnmower starter rope for my stringing aid, approximately 35" between 2" to 3" end loops tied with a bowline knot. The bowline knot makes it easy to adjust the length between the loops.

Whoever is charging you that much is a crook, I know the prices in Quebec for anything Excalibur is ridiculous but thats crazy.

I plan on making one .I use a C2 Crank which I used with a stringing aid (borrowed) to adjust my string. I already made a few things for my 380 and enjoy tinkering. I have stuff in the shop so cost is moot. $20 is not that bad but add shipping and it's money I can use for something else. I only buy things I can't make. But I'm cheap. :lol:
