My friend sights in at 25yds with his red dot sight.
It works well for him as his shots are around
20-30yds.

I use a Leupold 2-7x scope and sight in for 25 yards. A "center of the kill zone" hold works for deer from 0-30 yards. I can also use the duplex "posts" for 15 & 35 if I want to.

Mine is sighted at 30. I shoot a single red dot though.

My bad, I thought you were talking about a single dot or crosshairs. There was a recent thread along the same lines, there might something in it that helps.

25 35 45 55 65 75 85 95 single crosshair on the optimizer.
