Wear your saftey vests!

Allchokedup over at the tenpoint crossbow site fell out of his ladder stand and broke his leg in two places.He was not wearing a saftey belt or vest.Just a reminder wear your saftey equipment!

Ditto. My dad is sitting out this season because he fell from a ladder stand pre-season and shattered his hip. He was lucky to live through it. It was 6 hours before they found him. It was only a 12 ft ladder.

Please remember that it is not IF but WHEN you will fall out of your stand. Been there, done that. Always wear your safety harness when climbing.

Ditto that!!!! Last year I was 20' up in my Summit climber and went to readjust a little, with all my weight on the seat section. Next thing I know my bottom section is hanging free from the tree still connected to my feet with only one end of the cable attached!!!!!! :shock:

To make a long story short, having my safety tether around the tree and connected to my harness made a really dangerous experience not all that bad. It was a PITA to get everything attached again, but that beats laying on the ground seriously injured and waiting on the coyotes or just being dead! :oops:
