Deer Cart

Post by Brake1 »

Has anyone seen or utilized a motorized (electric or gasoline)deer cart? I hunt several areas where I have to walk in over a mile and an ATV is not authorized. If so,where are they sold or if home made are you willing to share the design?

Seems like if an area doesn't allow ATVs, they would not want anything self propelled. Don't know though.

I wonder if you could use a mountain bike and a pull behind bike cart. It would not be motorized but still give you some mechanical advantage. :D

^^^What I was thinkin. I was gonna put an electric motor on my mountain bike I used on public hunting land, they said nope, no motorized vehicles. Period. Might be different rules there though.

I even tried that. It works and I did it but I got so hot n sweaty riding in, then I'd freeze to death. Had problems with the cart tipping over too on ruts, rocks, etc.

Just pack out what you can get from the deer in a back pack in 3 gal baggie's.That's what i do in the n ga mountain's where i hunt up there.I never bring the whole animal out .
4 to 5 baggies will take a whole deer cut up.
