Brace Height Measurement

When you measure brace height do you measure to the near or far side of the string off the joint?

If you have stoppers, the rubber ones, about a string width off of them, some 1.5, some 2.
If you don't, then a common and accepted brace height is 1 and 1/8" off the riser, like so.

mine is inch and a quarter on my equinox, it was probably closer to inch and a half when I first replaced it. It seems like it takes quite a few shots in order to determine what it will finally relax at, This is just my own experience, not saying it pertains to your particular situation?

That's no good. You need some twists in it regardless of bheight..........

Does all of this go for the 380 too? My string is at most 1 mm from the suppressors and it's forward edge is just a shade over 1/2" from the stock/riser intersection.

It's been shot 10-11 times and is "driving tacks" so to speak, but I want it to be set up correctly.

Thanks!

I used [and the consensus appears to be] 1 to 2 string widths off the bumpers. I say used 'cause I sold my 380.

whack one and then change it up a tad, doubt you will have to re-sight your scope, maybe a click.......
