Now I need to thank him!
While holding on tightly to my treestand as the wind whipped through my bush, this young buck appeared on one of the well-used trails I monitor at about 8am. He came text-book down the trail, right to where I had my trail-cam situated not 1 week ago. I 'bah' stopped him, and whistled a GTII lead by 100gr Slick Trick through both lungs at 20 yards.
He managed to go about 50 yards, and fell over in the swayle behind me.
On a day I anticipated being in the woods to be a waste of time, I managed to put one more in the freezer.....You never know when an opportunity will present itself. No matter the weather, get out there and give yourself a chance. As my Dad used to tell me, you can't shoot a deer snuggled up under the comforters in your bed!
