If it is a split in the middle that would be as rare as hens teeth. Some information would help.

Photos of splinters?
Dryfires ?
Total arrow weight ?
Poundage and model of bow?

Ok.
Equinox
428grain arrow inc field point
split is dead centre on front face of limb
Dry fired once about two years ago but have my system down now after that. Had the standard string on then as well.
Boo string on there now.
Doesnt seem to have affected anything
accuracy awsome as usual... What more can i say.
Ive shot thousands of arrows through her with no real problems accept a small splinter on the other limb but that ws on the edge. I just cut it off. Oh and a couple of faulty scopes...
This one is of concern to me, just for saftey more than anything..

Do you have a photo of the split?
Your arrow weights good.
It may have been partially from the dryfire a long while back. The heavier poundage bows don't like it.
My equinox was dry-fired once with a custom string, seemed ok. But about a year later 1 limbs started to splinter. I used it for a few more months with no problem. But you know when it really shits itself, the shot will suddenly sound terrible, like a broken/rattly piece of wood, and the poi drops.
But If your sure it's a spit down the middle of the limb, better call your dealer to get the limbs exchanged. Some S5's and whiskers may help limit the damage for future dryfires.
