Matrix 355 1st stand shots

Finally had a chance to try my Black Eagle Arrows Zombie Slayers (20" and 100gr point ... 418grs) from a 12' stand position (speed dial at 340 ... have not had it chronoed yet). These shots were at 20yds and my point of aim was the line above the bullseye, where the lime green and black meet (no sense wearing it out to soon), first time shooting the dot side of the Hurricane target btw. Also, just fyi, I was using the stand's rail as a rest, so this isn't really off hand, but pretty much how I hope It will be when Mr Right steps in my view. If'n I can only find his swirly dot line .... never mind a Texas heart shot will do. LOL

Yes, fairly new Hurricane target, suggested by Excal1, excellent targets indeed. Using xcaliber's (Dan) custom string with cat whiskers and the REDS, it was very quiet compared to some I have heard.

At any rate, I shot the middle first, the the top and last but not least the bottom one. I wavered a bit on the last shot I guess as I moved over about 3/8s to 1/2 of an inch. All in all I am happy with this setup, and I do believe I will be sticking with the 20" Black Eagle Zombie Slayers over having them cut down to the 18" size. Might as well have all my Excaliburs shooting the same thing.

If Mr. Right shows up near your stand he will become a member of your 355 matrix trophy room with shooting accuracy like that. Enjoy hunting with your 355 as I have enjoyed hunting with mine.

Thanks, I don't dare aim at the same place twice with an bolt still in the target, can't afford to keep buying bolts and vanes etc. I will say this however, from where I was aiming, the results of a grouping would probably be within a 1/2" no doubt, maybe even tighter (if I had not wavered on the last shot ... actually felt myself move just as I squeezed the trigger ) . I will have to get a piece of cardboard and put one of my sticky targets on it that shows each hit in lime green and remove each arrow, to see what groping I am getting. I will try that when I am feeling better and have more time.

I'm by no means any sort of Robin Hood, but at the same time I don't want to Robin Hood my bolts either lol.

They do have some of the best wearing T-shirts I have wore. I wear the Zombie Slayer and BEA Squadron shirts all the time. My wife and daughter struggle over the Hoodie to see who wears it. lol The hats are also great, but the new Camo (Flex-Fit) hat has an elastic band and fits like it is part of you. Too bad there is not a summer (mesh styled) one like it.
