This trail camera cost me around $70.00 cdn to make and works better than the store bought because it has a better flash. The key is to find a Cannon PF. I got lucky and picked one up on E-Bay for cheap. I got most of the stuff together my Uncle built it. [/img]

I went with the regency motion detector. You can get one at any Walmart. The only thing I would stress that is not on the web-site is spend the money on the Owl PF and go with a 12V gel cel battery. The PF stands for power flash and it makes a difference on the night shots. The gel cell works well in cold temperatures. I picked one up for twenty bucks at an army surplus store. Plus most are rechargable. The other stuff was easy to find at Radio Shack. The other thing I like about the Owl PF camera is it will tell me the date and the time. The store bought tells me the time or the date. I like to know the date because I go to Environment Canada and see what the weather was that day and try and pattern the deer. Hope this helps.

Even then it's still a good way too go if'n ya like the challenge of doing it your self. I give it a (A+)
