66 days between today and the opener here in southern Ontario. Fortunately there is some waterfowling to do before that, and a crossbow shoot with Big Bear to get in shape for the deer.
I guess I can reread all the deer hunting books/articles as a refresher.
Too early for the countdown to deer season?

It is never too early to scout for deer!
I try to observe ; from a distance deer in my fields.
A wise old man told me that young deer are like teenagers; they think they always have to be eating.
This learned, we can see the animals out in the bean fields and take inventory at the same time.
Just being out in the fresh air makes me anxious for the season to arrive!
But first ; the early goose season!
Take a non-hunter out with you; and introduce them to the marvels of being one with nature!!
Oneshot........

Leave the concrete jungle behind and just go hunting !
