enourmous, I'm not sure. I can't recall where I read about the limbs being identical, but it doesn't sound unreasonable. The increased power stroke length for successively faster bows lends credence to the probablity. Regarding the Matrix bow not fitting on an old rail, I'm just guessing.

Norm does know! Apparently, the risers and the rails are the same so the Matrix bow could be placed on an older riser. The triggers are the same too. Lastly, there may still be some flexibility above 405 in the Matrix limbs. So, with regard to the Frankenbow: It's alive!

Now I'll make a guess...is there some machining involved?

Norm, it appears as though I have a 14" rail Vixen that could theoretically shoot through two elephants, right?

Hummm.I wonder what kind of fps I could get with a set of Matrix limbs hot glued (or velcro'ed)to my Ibex's 14.5" rail.I guess I would also need to begin a regiment of steroids if I was going to deal with the added draw weight. :)

I hear organizers are going to make the frankenbow shooters piss in a cup before 3D tournaments to check for PEDs. Can anyone confirm this?

There's some really good two-stage epoxy at Home Hardware for your Ibex build, much stronger than Velcro.

The Epoxy idea is a good one but would be over killl IMO.
As for the roids the first line of defence would be denial. That approach has worked for others atleast in the short term.

1. You mix/matchers will not be happy w/ the results if:
[A] You can get by the different spacings on the riser to rail bolts.
Remove the bar on underside of Matrix risers or mill a slot in your current rail.

I'm a tweaker. DO NOT DO THIS ONE!!

Does the Matrix series use the same limbs, if so all the matrix crossbows will be the same width right! the faster bows would be a little more compact drawing the limbs back farther. Maybe I am wrong.

Bear in mind, the uncocked widths are the same, i.e. after the shot..........

I've never had a problem w/ the older limbs vs Matrix.

You couldn't cock it steroids or not, most likely blow up in trying to cock it

WhoToo wrote:I'm wrestling with the size advantage, also. I like the notion of increased maneuverability and handling, etc but my Vortex is a great bow and hard to beat. In the end I reckon my decision will boil down to "want vs need" and that means any logic goes out the window!!!
I had a Vortex also and loved it until I shot the Matrix the Matrix has a lot less shock and vibration is definitely more balanced in the hands in my opinion. I could also tell a difference in the limb width when I was hunting out of a blind.
