Requesting comparison between three crossbows.

Post by jmhoffer »

I'm looking at purchasing either an Axiom SMF, Ibex SMF Kit or a Vixen II. I've noticed that there doesn't seem to me large differences between the bows/kits, but there are fairly large price discrepancies. Would anyone be able to give me more details as to the differences between these crossbows?

The only difference between the Ibex and Axiom I'm aware of is the stock. The Axiom has a traditional stock ,the Ibex has a thumbhole stock.

The vixen has the traditional stock and a different camo pattern. May be wrong about the camo :?

If you prefer reg stocks over thumbholes, look for a used Phoenix.........

Barring those, my vote would be for the Axiom.

When comparing the Ibex and Axiom, I much prefered the thumbhole stock. As for ease of trigger access it is a non issue once one gets used to it.Shoudler both a few times to see which feels more comfortable.

Though it was a slow bow I was fond of the vixen 11. They are all good bows. I see you made your choice, what did you get?
