Nice day to take off from work... Sure had fun on the ice today!
Live minnows were the ticket today. 7 FOW. What action!!

Time to clean.

Yes yellow perch. Haven't been out much. Been too brutal this year.. Ice darn 2 ft thick!

I have never caught one but have heard they are decent eatin. Hogs sometimes they be abit odd tastin depends on what they have been feedin on

Nice work. Looks tasty!

We caught a four-man limit on Lake Erie, (Kingsville), last weekend. Late ice fishing sure is productive. The bite on our side of Lake St. Clair has slowed down though...it's hit or miss.

Can't wait for some open water on the Detroit river...it's almost hammer time for pickerel.

Not a bad haul. This seems to have been a productive winter for ice fishing. I found live minnows to be the best by far as well. Something satisfying about stocking the freezer without going to the store.

Nice haul . Have been out on Lake St Clair more than a dozen times this year .. Best day about 25 keepers ... It has been hit or miss catching them .. Worse part is seeing the fish on my flasher and not being able to entice them to bite !

It has been brutal on the ice this year . High winds and arctic temperatures ... Top it off with ice in excess of 30 inches --- ( darn near to the handles of my ice drill ) .. Still love it and the reward of a great meal is a bonus .

StClair ice this year was amazing. I usually limit out atleast once per season but this season not so much. Best day was 35 nice hogs...

They are mister jigger stands. Best invention ever made. They act as a tip-up but you use a rod & reel to bring your fish in. No more tangled lines & they are super sensative...
