I just put money down on a Matrix 380. I went to a LAS and shot the 380, and that was all she wrote :o WOW is all I can say. I thought my compound was fast, this thing buries the bolt. Since I missed out on Turkey season I opted to put it on layaway since I already have a compound, which I hope sells soon to take up some of the cost of this bad boy.

Thanks to all for your advice as I was considering this transition to the curve

Is there any aftermarket stuff I should be looking at for the Matrix.

Obviously a case.

I am thinking BEE's for additional bolts

I hear a lot bout Boo string but am ignorant as to what that is :?

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You can't go wrong with BEE bolts from what I have read, and seen with a few guys that I shoot with. Boo string is made by Don Katsumi, he is in Canada, and has been making them for a long time. You can find him on the trading post, and he has a website as well. You can find all kinds of other gadgets too, the best accessory in my mind is the cheek piece, puts your eye in the zone every time.

Here's a laundry list of the extra stuff I've bought (so far) :D I'm sure I've forgotten something.

Extra string
Extra cocking rope
Extra Stringer (I made my spare)
2 dozen BEEs
Broadheads
Small game heads (if so inclined)
Lumenoks
Set screws (1/2" #10/32) to glue into regular nocks (to match weight of Lumenoks)
Danny Miller arrow pullers (plier type works great wit Lumenoks)
Small level to sit on top of the riser (weak side)
Target to stop arrows (3rd Hand Archery's "The Rag Bag")
Extra quiver block dove-tail mounts to attach quiver to tree.
Case (I got the tarantula soft case)
Dalton Speed Wax / Conditioner

It helps to name it so when you start talking to it you will know how to address the thing instead of Hey You

Congratulations on a great choice. The bow is great as is but there are some improvements you can spend a little extra. Check out the Trigger Tech Triggers (Matrix Hunter 2.5lbs two stage), Black Eagle Arrows, Leupold scope.
