Very nice job! Definitely adds some cool factor to the man cave.
But, I would have turned it into a smoker.
Old fridges like that with porcelain coated steel interiors are perfect for smokers and are hard to come by these days...

ch - I'm still on the hunt for the JD fridge. The IH was free as long as it was picked up. If your in the market I can send you anything that I come across marked "free to a good home?"ch312 wrote:Very nice job! Definitely adds some cool factor to the man cave.

I didnt know JD or IH made refrigerators. Are they electric or gas? A lot of the rural folks here didnt get electricity till sometime in the fifties so quite a few gas model refrigerators. Servel I think is the brand I remember. We used to have one on a lease we had. Changed the orface(sp) to run on propane instead of nat. gas. Worked great.
Congrats on a beautiful job.

It's an electric model - The wiring was shot from being left out in the elements but once I re-wired it she purrs like a kitten.flightattendant100 wrote:I didnt know JD or IH made refrigerators. Robin, very kind offer and much appreciated. I have already converted an old fridge into a smoker, but I do have a few jealous friends who would like to build their own.
I'll offer the meat of your choice as a finders fee.
