Matrix 330

Post by schultzy »

Got a matrix 330 last week from Wyvern Creations. All I can say is wow. Same hole accuracy at 20 and 30 yards from the bench with gold tip laser 2 pros. I installed the ADF having dry fired my pheonix before and also picked up Dan Millers stringing aid and 2 of his flemish strings. Love my setup and now wishing the summer away to sink some arrows through some deer.

My brother bought the matrix 355 couple of months ago and I shot and loved it. I knew the 330 would be fine for me and in my priceline with just the bare bow. EASY to shoot all day and very compact and light. Plenty of Power as well.

I'm glad my wife didn't tear me up over this new toy. I didn't tell her for several days. Finally got the courage. She took it well though and has even shot it and liked it. But she loves her Vixen 2. :D

Are those arrows the ones Dave sells especially for the 330? I am still thinking about those but the thought of losing about 15fps kinda defeats the whole 330 fps thing the bow was designed for.But maybe your arrows are different?

Bobcattrapper, I honestly have been shooting 20 " gold tip laser 2 pros from it. I just ordered some 18" arrows from Dave @wyvern to try through it. They are the custom arrows for the matrix330. Looking forward to trying them. The 20" arrows stick out past the stirrup pretty good. I may try the Big John feller for arrows later on. From what I've seen on this forum he makes awsome arrows.

So far that model is performing just a bit better than the 330 rating tagged on it from what I have heard. It gets 4-6 FPS better than advertised! Now my 330 FPS Vortex is mean, wicked, and nasty, I would be real happy to get that performance from a shorter, narrower, lighter bow any day. I love the 355, but the 330 would be a perfect compliment in my tool box! I would shoot about 380 - 410 grains total if the accuracy was there like it is with the 355. When i get mine, 18" Gold Tip Laser 2 will be what I start out with, they are excellent so far! Good luck Shultzy, let us know how you like the 18" GT L2 bolts!
